DIY Vegan Parmesan Cheese
One of the reasons why it was difficult for some people including me to transition to Veganism is because of Cheese so in this recipe I am sharing with you our DIY Vegan Parmesan Cheese.
I never really thought before that it could be possible to make a substitute for Parmesan Cheese that tastes like Parmesan Cheese.
I was skeptical, to be honest, until I tried it on my Pasta and it feels like Parmesan Cheese!
Moreover, the best thing about this DIY Vegan Parmesan Cheese is that it is so fast to make and requires little ingredients.
This Parmesan Recipe is so wholesome too!
For the main ingredient, we will be using Cashew Nuts.
Cashew nuts as we all know are a powerhouse of different nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
BENEFITS OF CASHEW NUTS
Some of the benefits of Cashew Nuts are:
- Cashew Nuts help reduce the blood pressure and cholesterol levels thus it can help to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
- It also helps with the blood health as it is packed with iron and copper that works together to form red blood cells in our body.
- It also contains a high level of lutein that is proven good for our eye’s health.
- Though Cashew nuts contain a lot of fat, these are considered “good fats” that help prevent heart diseases.
Aside from Cashew Nuts, we will also use Nutritional Yeast.
Nutritional Yeast is one of the rising vegan products.
It has become popular among vegans as a source of B12.
Though it is the same type as the yeast that we use in bread making, Nutritional Yeast is dead yeast.
The cells are killed during the process of making it.

INGREDIENTS OF DIY VEGAN PARMESAN CHEESE
1 Cup of Raw Cashew Nuts
½ Cup of Nutritional Yeast (We are using Bob Mill’s)
1 Tablespoon of Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIY VEGAN PARMESAN CHEESE
Prepare your Ingredients
Combine all the ingredients in the Food Processor except Lemon Juice and blend it
Add the Lemon Juice and blend again for a couple of seconds
It’s done! Transfer it to a sealed container and refrigerate.
